What if I get sick?  What if A.I. takes my job?  What if the economy collapses?  What if my 401k runs out?  Anxious yet?  Our next tempting thought is avarice, which is sometimes called greed.  Avarice isn’t about wanting wealth.  It’s about fearing an unknown future.  To prevent you from trusting God with your future, avarice whispers a simple little lie into your mind:  “One you have enough, you’ll be safe from tomorrow.”  The temptation here is to give money a job that it can’t do.  Money cannot secure your future.  That’s the job of your heavenly Father.
